The ocean, as clean and clear as when God first made it, is filled with an awesome array of tropical splendor including tropical fish, coral, dolphins, rays, whale sharks, real sharks and ancient sea turtles. The deep sea fishing potential of the island rock area is huge. Boats and Jet skis are welcome and the reef system enables safe launching. A launching license is required and can be obtained at the Resort. Should you not have your own boat deep sea fishing can be arranged on request. Island Rock Resort is located in a pristine natural area offering bird-watchers, naturalists, hikers and all those who appreciate nature the ideal opportunity to get out of the city routine and enjoy the beauty of the area. Lapas is a defenitive Southern African defintion which refers to more than one structure that is based in a loose circle. At Island Rock Resort the Lapas have been built with groups and families in mind. All kitchen utencils, Pots, pans cutlery and crockery included. There is a Small abolution with one cold water shower and one toilet.
