CLAMPON pinch valves differ from the norm in the sense that they are built from lightweight materials, however, the design takes care of the body strength, and the same principal applies for the wear sleeve. Our sleeves are hand-built with a wide range of natural and synthetic polymers up to a CWP (Constant Working Pressure) of 2500kPa. Due to the materials of construction, the operating torque is less and the cost of actuating the valves is therefore drastically reduced. A diaphragm valve consists of a cast iron two-piece body, the top half housing the closing mechanism and diaphragm, and the bottom half being rubber-lined for wear resistance. The negative aspect of this design is the fact that the body has a restriction or bulge in the flow line to accommodate the closing mechanism which aggravates wear.
